AGGRAVATION MULTIPLAYER GAME HELP SETTING UP A GAME On the Multiplayer Network setup screen, the player who started the game (called the Host) sets up all the game options via the PLAYERS and SETTINGS tabs. The Host can click the PLAYERS tab control to change any of the following settings: - Player Names: Here you can change the name of the Host player or any computer opponent. Just click on the old name, type in a new one, and press Enter when you're finished. - Player Type (human or computer): Use the drop-down controls to add human or computer players to the game. If you don't want to play with the maximum number of players, change this setting for the unwanted player(s) to N/A. For example, to play a 3-player game, set the Player Type for the 4th, 5th, and 6th players to N/A. - Team assignments (team games only): Decide who will be teammates. There must be an equal number of players on each team, or the game won't start properly. - Player colors: Use the drop-down controls to assign each player a marble color. Two players cannot be assigned the same color, or the game won't start properly. The Host can click on the SETTINGS tab control to change the various game-specific options. Detailed explanations of all these options (as well as the basic game rules) can be found by pressing the RULES button and scrolling down to the "Custom Settings" area. You'll find that these settings will give you many new ways to enjoy the game, so give them a try! HOST vs. CLIENT Players in the game who are NOT the Host are called Clients. Clients may change their own player name, color, and team assignment, but cannot change anything else on the PLAYERS tab. Clients cannot change any of the items on the SETTINGS tab. STARTING THE GAME The Host presses the PLAY button in the lower right corner of the screen. This will start the game for ALL players. To cancel the game (perhaps to change game options or to allow another player to connect), the Host may press the BACK button in the lower left corner of the screen. CHATTING Players can chat with each other by clicking on the blank line at the bottom of the chat display or pressing CTRL+C, typing a message, and pressing the Enter key.
